Images of Kentwell Hall, Long Melford, Suffolk. Kentwell Hall is one of England's finest moated Tudor houses and is described by Country Life as "The epitome of many people's image of an Elizabethan house".
Orignally built in the first half of 16th Century and enhanced by succesive gernations of the Clopton family.
The Clopton family gained their wealth from the wool trade and that allowed them to build and enhance Kentwell Hall in the 16th and 17 Centuries.
